medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Shang-Ching Cheng,
I am not sure what the word "demon" means in your request for help. I have
always looked for the word "devil" when I was looking for malign creatures
plaguing humans. As an example,Tutivilus, the devil who had the duty of
taking down notes on the conversations of gossiping women.
I can point you to pictures of devils preventing the easy churning of butter
or devils interfering with the easy passage of a ship.
If you are interested in how devils interfered in the everyday life of the
medieval I can help you.
Good hunting, Jim Mills
