I have read a few articles where David Sackett has talked about how
clinicians are not really interested in generalizing the results of the
study, but instead want to particularize to an individual patient. But I
can't seem to put my hands on a good example of what he means. Does anyone
know of a good reference for this?
Also, I need to find the original source for the phrase "Absence of evidence
is not evidence of absence."
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
