medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Since Easter (Ishtar) is a pagan holiday, it's not accurate to say Salome
"...was one of the witnesses to the resurrection on Easter Monday." Easter
didn't become integrated into tradition until centuries later. It also seems
possible (considering when Passover--also a Sabbath--occurred) that the
resurrection could have occurred on Saturday.
