For several years we have provided audio language learning courses as a
separate (charged) service. We now feel that this is no longer an
appropriate way to provide learning material, so we plan to stock and
manage suitable courses as part of our mainstream 400s bookstock. The key
word here, of course, is "suitable"!!
Does anybody exclude any particular format, size, price-range or learning
level from their lending collections? Preliminary investigation (in
Waterstones) has demonstrated such a wide variety of combinations, prices,
etc. that defining the scope of a collection looks an awkward task. Any
advice, experience etc. would be much appreciated - including how you
handle customer requests for any material you've decided to exclude.
Many thanks,
Judith Rhodes
