Dear Colleagues,
We are happy to announce the imminent publication of a special issue of the Journal of the
Virtual Explorer entitled ‘Reconstruction of the Evolution of the Alpine-Himalayan belt’. The
special issue contains 10 contributions, which are placed in the following web site under the
status of a ‘dynamic review’:
http://virtualexplorer.earth.monash.edu.au/VEjournal/2002/Rosenbaum/contents.html
During the period of the dynamic review, which will last until November 15th, we urge
readers to submit comments and reviews on the manuscripts. These comments will be
published in the special issue together with the original papers.
Reviews should be sent directly to Gideon Rosenbaum ([log in to unmask])
or Megan Hough ([log in to unmask]).
Full text html versions of all the articles can be viewed by everyone during the period of
the dynamic review. However, only subscribed members of the Journal of the Virtual
Explorer would be able to download printable PDF files and animated movies. Note that
the Journal of the Virtual Explorer is running a special library subscription offer until the
end of October 2002, with a free copy of the 2 CD-ROM WD Means Volume (Volume 2)
to anyone that organises for their library to take out a full (full = Online Access, Printed
Volumes + annual CDs) subscription (AUS$650/US$353 /Euro365 per annum). Secure, online
subscription information can be found at:
http://virtualexplorer.com.au/subscriptions/index.html
We are looking forward to hearing from you,
Sincerely,
Gideon Rosenbaum and Gordon Lister
