The only difference between HTML and XHTML is that for XHTML the
meta and link elements need to be self closing:
HTML:
<meta ... >
XHTML:
<meta ... />
And also for XHTML xml:lang should be used instead of lang for XHTML
1.1 and it should be used in addition to lang for XHTML 1.0.
