medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
If you are at all interested in England you might want to check Eamon
Duffy's Stripping of the Altars. He has a nice discussion of relics and
pilgrimages that women took either to promote fertility or to foster safe
delivery. His discussion is probably not focused on aristocratic women, but
some of the relics, would have been accessable only to the rather well off.
His bibliography is also very helpful.
