Your mention of Susan Reynolds reminded me that she has
written an article that may help in your course. It's
called "Social Mentalities and the Case of Medieval
Scepticism." I don't know where it was orginally
published, but it is available in her collection _Ideas and
Solidarities of the Medieval Laity_ (Aldershot: Variorum;
Brookfield, VT: Ashgate, 1995).
You might be able to find the article you want in the
bibliography (valid up to 1999) in a festschrift volume
dedicated to Reynolds. It is: Pauline Stafford, Janet L.
Nelson, and Jane Martindale, eds, _Law, Laity, and
Solidarities: Essays in Honour of Susan Reynolds_
(Manchester: Manchester University Press; New York:
Palgrave, 2001).
