There are some accounts of townspeople blatantly stealing entire corpses of
saintly popes because they wanted the pope in THEIR town. One example is our
good friend Pope St. Celestine V. His relics were stolen not too long ago
actually and refound in a nearby cemetery. I could get more specific but I
just woke up, let me know if you'd like to hear more about saintly pope
thefts, or if you are just sticking with regular saints...
