medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Brenda!
Here are some results:
Richard of Poitiers, Chronicon, 1145-1153, in: Bouquet, Rerum Gallicarum et
Francicarum Scriptores, Tome 12, 415CD; also in: Waitz, G., ed. Monumenta
Germaniae Historica.SS 26, 81; modified version in Chronicon anonymi (c.
1160), Bouquet, 12, 120C. (references from C. Mews)
Has Richard really been archideacon of Poitiers? I only know him as Cluniac
monk, who dedicated his Chronicle to Peter the Venerable.
See. Berger, Elie, Richard le Poitevin, extrait de Bibl. des Ecoles
françaises d'Athènes et de Rome, fasc. sixième, Paris, 1879
Have a good time!
