medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Please forgive cross-posting, as I forward this on from a colleague:
Call for papers for the following session at the 38th International Congress
on Medieval Studies, 8-11 May 2003 Western Michigan University;
Kalamazoo, Michigan
"Queer Mysticism"
Queer and feminist theory have opened up the way in which we read and
interpret various texts from the middle ages. We encourage papers that
examine medieval mystics, mysticism and mystical texts from these
perspectives. We invite papers from all disciplines
including literature, art history and history.
Please submit a one-page abstract via email, including contact information,
by September 15, 2002. Papers are to be no longer than 20 minutes.
