HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS: promoting health through public libraries
Stamford, Wednesday 9 October 2002, 10.15 am - 4.00 pm
CPI Library and Information Policy Seminar
- in partnership with the NHS Information Policy Unit
This Seminar is about creating strategic partnerships in the provision of
information on health and social care. It will identify current trends and
key issues for joint working, including the provision of community
information and relationships between reading, health, leisure and
regeneration.
Alongside a focus on projects in Calderdale, Kirklees, Essex and other local
authorities, and on further links between the NHS and libraries, there will
be opportunities to probe the potential for libraries to develop effective
roles in working for healthy communities. The seminar will be of interest to
public library and other local government managers, health information
providers, regional and government bodies, library co-operatives and
partnerships, and library schools.
