MIRACLE OF SAN GENNARO REPEATED YET
AGAIN IN CROWDED NAPLES CATHEDRAL
The miracle of San Gennaro occurred again at 9:50 yesterday
morning. In the crowded Cathedral of Naples, the blood of
San Gennaro, Naples' patron saint, liquefied in its amphora
before being handled by Cardinal Giordano. The ceremony
began at 8:45 with Naples' mayor Rosa Russo Jervolino, and
Region President Antonio Bassino present. This year there was
no need for particular invocations: when the amphora was taken
from its stand following traditional homilies the saint's blood had
already liquefied.
