medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
My thought on Descartes and his turning point doesn’t want refuse the
modern thought “tout court”, as someone can think. In fact today,
thanks to it, we know to have a great responsibility in front of
ourselves, in front of the Nature and of the people. The History and
his development doesn’t depend entirely on God, but on us also. Today
perhaps many people think that all depend entirely on man, therefore
the medieval man (but our grandmothers also) thought that all the real
was united to God, and often spoke of God’ s will. Speaking with many
people, believers or unbelievers, I have seen that many are in a great
need of spirituality. For this, I think, it is important recover the
spiritual hair of the Middle Age, but without get back in the historic
development. Best wishes. Claudio Attardi
