medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear All,
(resending with the right subject line!)
I'm looking for any evidence of medieval characterizations of Aeneas
as a precursor of Christ, and wondered if any listmembers may be able to
help me with this. More specifically, I'm wondering if there's any
tradition linking the victory over Turnus with Christ's victory over the
Devil, and the visits of both Aeneas and Christ to the underworld.
Any information on this would be most gratefully received!
Andrew Kirkman
