Take a look at H-net, maintained at another state university in Michigan.
Their homepage is http://www2.h-net.msu.edu/. At that page click on
"Teaching," and you'll get a list of 8 discussion goups focusing on
various types of courses (e.g. U.S. survey and Western civilization) and
specialized aspects of teaching (e.g. educational technology). You should
be able to find something of interest there.
