medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
The Cluny Museum at Chantilly is lovely. However the tres riches heures de
Jean, duc de Berry is not on display, only facsimile pages. I was working
in the rare book room there on another manuscript and was told that the
likelihood of getting one's white gloved hands let alone one's surgical mask
covered mouth (yep, they made me put all that on-- and then I couldn't turn
the pages myself) near that book was near zero. The castle is worth the
trip though. all best,sharon
