*** 100 years of Academic Public Health at Edinburgh ***
Calling all those who have a past connection with public health at
the University of Edinburgh - students, staff, honorary staff, external
examiners, collaborators.
2002 is the centenary anniversary of the opening of the Usher
Institute of Public Health. The Usher was in effect the academic
department of public health at the University of Edinburgh, latterly
called Social Medicine, Community Medicine, then Public Health
Sciences, and now part of the umbrella department of Community
Health Sciences.
To mark the centenary we are trying to make contact with all those
with past associations with the Usher Institute, and public health,
at the University of Edinburgh. If you have *not* already received a

A celebratory Conference has been organised for 31st October to
2nd November 2002. You will find details of the conference and
