Hi James, and other list members,
Not a 'damn fool' question at all. And thanks Gary for
clarifying the situation whilst i was away.
I have been meaning to make a formal statement for sometime
so here it is.
Essentially the past two years have been a most busy and
transformative period. Hence the non-arrival of LSJ2.
It will still be news to some list members that Katy Jordan
decided to relinquish any involvement with LSJ as from
issue 2 which has been almost ready to publish for probably
about a year now. LSJ is very time consuming for two pairs
of hands, i cannot realistically continue with it on my own
so have been considering whether to fold the enterprise.
In fact Katy and i had both considered forgetting about the
project when it became apparent that there appears to be
relatively little interest in LSJ in its current format.
Alternative ideas have been and still are being considered.
So i would appreciate some feedback please......
Do people think that a forum for holy well research is a
worthwhile project?
Do you think that LSJ in its current online format is a
satisfactory means of collating information?
Would people prefer to pay for a reduced content paper
version?
Essentially, if insufficient numbers of people attach any
significant value to LSJ there is no point me wasting time
with it when i could be spending that time actually looking
at wells instead.
If enough people are interested and prepared to become
active enough to make this a worthwhile resource then i am
happy to find the time to help the project grow.
In any case, there will be a second iisue out over the
summer/autumn - november at the latest.
Best wishes,
Rich
