WELLBEING / RCOG CLINICAL TRIAL GRANT 2003
CLOSING DATE: FRIDAY 25 OCTOBER 2002
WellBeing invites applications to fund a clinical trial in the general area of maternity care which would include neonatology. The project will be funded to a maximum of £150,000 over a two to three year period. The areas included are pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal care and neonatology.
Outline proposals must be submitted using the appropriate application form and must arrive at the WellBeing office by 25 October 2002. At this stage assessment will focus on the need for the trial, the importance of the questions posed, the feasibility of the approach and timescale, the
competence of the team and the potential impact of the results. It is expected that the results of the funded trial will have the potential to directly improve the quality of maternity care.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to develop full proposals by 3 February 2003.
