Oh no, not another on-line system that seems to think that the British
local government system operated in a state of unchanging grace until the
blue meanies changed it in 1974 (see also the Association of British
Counties site: http://www.abcounties.co.uk).
The map at Genmap does divide up Lincolnshire in three parts, but misses
out the Soke of Peterborough and shows the Greater London Council area
(which is labelled "Middlesex"). This means it is a map valid for 1965-73,
i.e. 8 years. So much for changeless history.
We are working on an on-line system that knows about change.
