Dear Dr. Schäfer,
very well said. Absolutely true (oops..) and undisputable (re-oops!) facts
are that we tend to feel objections to our 'own' models like threats to the
things we most believe (?) in. But, then again, science is not precisely
something to ***believe*** into.. Possibly, why not, to feel confident about
or to trust or, perhaps better, to reasonably not mistrust.. And, hopefully
(hmmm..), to acknowledge its results - ehm.., when they work!
I so much wish my results were working every time.. But, now I know, when
they don't, it must be God's fault.
Friendly and peaceful regards to all,
Umberto
