Irene, I agree, but follow my thoughts. If people are only using the right
words. The one's they have been taught to use and these do not correspond to
their thoughts and beliefs. Will there actions follow their words or their
thoughts. It is actions we need and words. Rights rather than rhetoric.
Let me explain by asking a question. Which is easier to fight a government
who is clearly bigoted and who does not know the language and thus make its
bigotry transparent and easy to fight against or a government, new labour for
a sake of an argument, who is still equally as bigoted, but knows the
language and can use that language against us? The politicians are using the
language we agree with and appease to be on our side. Yet we are still
disadvantaged. There real thoughts are hidden and so is there oppression. How
do we fight?
Irene, I am not criticising you. I agree with what you say, but recently i
have been thinking about these issues and i just thought I'd share these
doubts with you and the rest of the group. To see what you all think.
Victoria
