Hmmm. A creative interpretation of St. Benedict's admonition.
I was there three or four years ago as a delightful diversion on one of my
semi-regular sojourns at Solesmes. They were doing a lot of contract
computer work (transcriptions, translations, even some coding) and had a
backlog of work at that time. Can't speak to whether that translates to
enough 'prosperity' that Father Abbot would fund transport for the eminent
art scholar cc. Of course, if you were to help them achieve additional grant
monies from the government for further restoration work . . .
