Yet another MX quirk ;-)
I have yet to install it, so I can't say I've experienced this particular
problem yet, but I CAN tell you where DW stores its site definitions. In
the Windows Registry. Oh yes. Where else? (Well, assuming you use
Windows, I've no idea where it stores it if you use a Mac.)
Luckily, a bright spark out there has written a little program to back up
the registry entries. I run mine once a fortnight via Task Scheduler just
to be on the safe side. I lost all my site definitions a while ago and I
can tell you, I was incredibly to this guy! There's a version for MX:
http://youneedawebstore.com/resources.htm
This might work for this time (assuming you're using Windows 98):
1) open DOS window or boot to DOS
2) type: cd\windows\command
3) type: SCANREG /RESTORE
The last option should allow you to restore a copy of the registry.
No guarantees on this method though, because I haven't tried it.
Cheers,
Kat
