Hello
LeTTOL (Learning to Teach Online) is an online course which teaches tutors
how to teach online. It was developed and is delivered by FE colleges in
South Yorkshire.
LeTTOL tutors are to deliver a half-day seminar in Sheffield on 30 October
2002. This is taking place because Kate Butler, our Australia-based LeTTOL
tutor, and I (Sheffield based), are attending a conference in Pennsylvania
USA about Managing Tutor Workload. The Pennsylvania conference is sponsored
by the Alfred P Sloan Foundation.
Kate will be in England for a week or so en-return route for Australia, and
we will be holding this seminar to disseminate what we have learned about
managing online tutor workload, both from the conference, and from
experience on LeTTOL and other online courses.
