The use of sound can create and enhance web content, and audio material can
be used to great advantage during teaching and research.
This course is offered by BUFVC in response to demands from the academic
community. Illustrating real uses, such as libraries and archiving,
lecturing and distance learning, this course will give participants the
technical and practical knowledge required to handle audio material
successfully.
The day covers production and reuse of audio material, associated
copyrights, explaining and demystifying technical terminology, and storing,
compressing and delivering content. There is also time allotted for
discussion and questions.
Intended audience: audio visual and computer service providers, librarians,
archivists.
Cost per person, per course, including light lunch and refreshments:
Full rate: GBP 136.17 (+ VAT);
BUFVC member's discount rate: GBP 85.11 (+ VAT).
The British Universities Film & Video Council exists to promote the study
