A Course for Practising Managers
24th-26th June and 18th-19th November 2002
Venue: Aston Business School, Birmingham.
Timing:
Block I from 12.00 Monday, 24th June, 2002
to 15.30 Wednesday, 26th June, 2002
Block II from 11.15 Monday, 18th November, 2002
to 15.30 Tuesday, 19th November, 2002
Background:
HESDA has worked with both of the professional groups, UCISA
and SCONUL, to produce and present a number of
management courses for staff in computing, library and information
services departments. There is a strategic management
programme for the most senior staff, computer directors and chief
librarians and two courses a year for those from computing, library
and information services departments who are new to a management or
supervisory role. The programme outlined here is for those who are
not new to management nor operating at the most senior levels. This
programme is therefore aimed at what might loosely be described as
middle managers, those who have management experience but who would
like to develop their existing management skills. The course
title 'Making Management Work: A Course for Practising
Managers', reflects the place of this programme within the overall
portfolio.
Fee:
£745 which includes all accommodation, meals and course
materials over the five days.
