The links bit looks useful. BUT, might it be an idea to also provide links to learned society and professional body press offices and info centres. Our contacts lists span industry as well as universities - and there's a lot of us out here. Also , although AlphaG is linked it might be an idea to emphasise the media expert database aspects of the service.
Thaks for alerting us

I'm just emailing to announce a new version
of the Vega Science Trust website, that's much more of an
"Internet Science TV Channel". Our science programmes are
available to watch on the site, online, for free. There's a wide
selection of lectures, discussions, masterclasses, etc, covering
a broad spectrum of science and engineering subjects including
nanotechnology, genetically modified foods, and archive footage
of many world leading scientists. Many have previously been
broadcast on terrestrial television although there is also
a lot of new material.
Of particular interest to psci-com members might be some of the
'science-media gateway' section. There's links to every online
press centre and expert directory at HE institutions in the UK,
and sections on other subjects such as 'women in science',
'online science audio and video', etc.
The main site is at http://www.vega.org.uk/ and the expert
directory links at: http://www.vega.org.uk/info/media

Chris Ewels
