Corporate Communications Officer, Public Relations Department
The Institute of Physics is seeking an enthusiastic motivated physical sciences graduate with excellent communications skills to join its public relations team as Corporate Communications Officer.
Working with colleagues in the Institute, its subsidiary companies and members, the successful candidate will help to promote the Institute's activities relating to policy issues and activities and initiatives that promote physics, physics careers and the Institute itself.
Applicants should have an understanding or experience of working in PR, media relations or science communication. They should be able to plan and prioritise their work and meet deadlines. Experience of producing publications, electronically and in print is needed. In addition, experience of writing for the media, working with designers and printers and a knowledge of the scientific print and broadcast media would be an advantage.
Salary c£19,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.
