Good question, Martin. The reality of illusion, I gather... Not that I'm
sure about that or anything else when it comes to these
discussions about the nature of poetry... You aren't either, are you?
Sorry to be obsfuscating, I wish I weren't. But you know what the
Heart Sutra says: "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form." What's
a bloke to do?
Question for Douglas: If mathematics is from the mind of God and
poetry is made of mud and brittle bones, do we poets stand a
better chance of touching truth by joining Oulipo?
