Perry Anderson is the author of an penetrating historical, cultural and
political analysis of the second half of XXth Century Italy, published
this week on the London Review of Books.
It is a study of the highest quality and intellectual insight into the
Italian question.
Those Italians who, like me, hate the sicking and detestable Berlusconi
and the present 'clown-like' government, feel deeply rewarded by
Anderson's effort to illustrate the Italian political decadence and its
factual causes.
I think this is the best essay of cultural-politique I have read in the
last two years and I am sure it will inform you throughly about the
Italian TV-like presidency we are all suffering.
