No correction necessary. Information Design Journal is an independent
peer-reviewed journal. IIID has no influence on editorial matters
whatsoever.
This is all part of 'information design' activities. A limited number
of people tries to:
- organize conferences (in 2002: Financial information in New York,
US/Information design Education in Reading, UK/user manual design,
Eskilstuna, Sweden);
- publish Information Design Journal - and its website;
- maintain a portal website (www.InformationDesign.org);
- and maintain 2 discussion lists: InfoDesign and InfoDesign-Café.
Ideally, activities are combined. Examples are:
- Books that are announced on the InfoDesign-list are considered for
review in Information Design Journal.
- Information Design Conferences are announced on the InfoDesign list
and the papers presented at these conferences are again considered
for IDJ.
- Edited summaries of discussions in the InfoDesign-Café are published in IDJ.
Other combinations are possible and will be persued if time allows.
Kind regards,
Karel van der Waarde
