£17,616 to £21,503 per annum
We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate with a humanities, social
sciences or engineering background, for three years. The successful
candidate with work with a co-researcher to develop a common language of
value and supporting design practices, with particular focus on
organisational culture and the deployment of strategies to diffuse
research findings into research partners.
This government-funded LINK research contract, Managing Value Delivery in
Design, seeks to increase customer satisfaction of buildings through a
better, shared understanding of values (for the project process, the
product and its performance) and practices that map and measure the flow
and delivery of value within the design solution.
The appointment will involve extensive liaison with nine industrial
partners (AMEC, BAA, Broadgate Estates, CIBSE, CABE, Davis Langdon &
Everest, Sheppard Robson, RICS, and the RIBA) and research teams in other
organisations/universities. Applicants should have at least a good honours
degree in a relevant discipline, and practical or research experience
would be an advantage. Registration for a higher degree is available and
encouraged where appropriate.
