CALL FOR UNIVERSAL DESIGN PAPERS
Papers are invited for worldwide perspectives on the
Universal Design of products, services, communications,
transport and environments for the following topics.
Transport Road, rail, water, air
Housing Public, private
Wayfinding Streetscapes, signage, tactile surfaces
Buildings Entrances, foyers, environmental interface
Websites Accessibility
Communication Emerging technologies
Education Primary, secondary, tertiary
Recreation Parks, playgrounds, wilderness, beaches
Sport Land, water, air
Tourism Accommodation, tours, cruises
Culture Arts, museums, theatre
Entertainment Cinema, restaurants
Commercial
Shopping centres/ malls, retail/ wholesale
outlets
Submissions are also invited on issues relating to Universal Design
educational and training programs.
Deadline for abstracts to present papers as part of the Universal
Design Stream is 19th April 2002. Abstracts must be clearly
marked "Universal Design".
To submit an abstract for a paper refer to guidelines on the
webpage www.congresswest.com.au/IFA and then email to

Papers can be selected by jury if preferred. As the timeline for abstracts
and early bird registration is very short consideration will be given to
extensions if requested.
