Are you suggesting that there are different methods for writing or are you
suggesting that there is a method which should be used by all? I got confused
when you started on the outline word processor capabilities. And I would
question whether there is a conscious act of organization going on in a
writer's brain always. If you read John Fowles, French Lieutenant's Woman, (he
is one of the most literate fiction writers about, in my humble opinion - which
is humble as this is not my field) he both writes a novel and writes a novel
about the writing of the novel. In it he talks about the characters taking over
and the writer being at their mercy.
