Folks,
Stepping aside from student costs and the validity of a particular
conference...
We are about to start large scale R & D of a new product platform - are
there any gems from Design Research, as a discipline, we should be more
aware of?
There is a multitude of new product development literature and a variety of
metric assessment, etc.
We are asking - are there any_PROVEN_ ways in which we can improve our
ability to design?
ie. Do we need to brainstorm with 12 year olds? Should CAD be left out of
the picture? Does concurrency improve or detract from quality? What is the
ideal committee and from which disciplines should it be drawn - or should
we rely on singular design leadership?
Again, it is a Friday afternoon, so apologies for annoyance.
