Dear All
Does anybody know of any research papers which provide evidence
for the added value of using other methods to identify papers for
systematic reviews other than searching bibliographic databases?
eg. hand-searching journals, contacting known experts/key
organisations, searching reference lists
I have got plenty of references on the existence of publication bias
from the CRD guidelines and I can recall a recent paper in HLR on
added value of hand searching
any contributions will be summarised for the list
many thanks
