Normal practice is to maintain a "whitelist" of addresses in addition to
subscribers that are permitted to post. (I usually subscribe to lists
using different email addresses, but post from a common address.)
Another point: can you arrange for the mailing list software to NOT
include reply-to headers in outgoing messages. These are generally
regarded by email experts as wrong (in mailing lists), and have the
practical effect that it's difficult to send private emails to the poster
of a message -- often the effect is that messages intended to be private
end up being public.
