| How would we know? All we can really tell is that they buy
| tickets for films that are advertised, we don't really have
| any measures of the pleasure they take once they're inside.

If you go to http://www.boxofficeguru.com/ they usually give the
exit surveys from audiences. Further to make large grosses
studios count on repeat business. For instance both _Attack of
the Clones_ and _Spiderman_ are making the grosses they are
because of many people seeing the films numerous times.
The other good check is via DVD/video sales and rentals. People
typically won't buy a DVD they saw but disliked. You'll also
note that often films that did so-so in the theatre do very
well on DVD over time.

| It's Preston Sturges' _Sullivan's Travels_.

Thanks. I've been racking my brain on that one for some time.
