Dear Christine,
the theme of reality it's really
interesting. I wrote a Ph. D.
thesis (which I will publish on
january) on the subject,
and expecially on the matter
concerning theoretical discussion between
philosophy, communication and
our representation of reality.
If you would like
to read it I can send it to you in advance through e-mail.
Part of it has been already published in journal
like AS/SA and SINCRONIA and u can find the links to
these papers in my new websites:
http://www.semioticsandcommunication.net
anyway I'm also publishing (I hope for the next week)
two new papers in my site, and one of this is also
concerned with the matter of film and reality.
If you like just write me and I will send it to you in advance ok?
I suggest to you if you don't know them also to
look at the works of ethnomethodologism like Garfinkel,
Zimmerman and others, which represents a good
school interested in the social daily reality.
Best wishes,
Paolo
