I suggest you also take a look at the interview of Robbe-Grillet on the
double-DVD that has been released recently :
http://www.lespierides.com/alainen.html. It's in french. He talks about
each of his films including its soundtrack and its work with Fano if i
remember well.
In your thesis, do you plan to use philosophical arguments concerning
disjonction between seing and talking by e.g. Deleuze, Foucault,
Blanchot, and Klossowski, which should be of interest for analysing the
soundtrack of Robbe-Grillet's films. If you do, i would be interested to
know more about your findings.
The work of Marie-Claire Ropars-Wuilleumier on the analysis of Duras
film "India Song" in "Le texte divisé" published by Presses
Universitaires de France (and out of print) could also be interesting
for you. It's strongly influenced by Derrida.
