Ross--
You should be able to get ``The Circle'' easily on tape or DVD. For an
Iranian film, it's received wide ancillary distribution. Obviously, DVD is
preferable to see all the extraordinary detail in Panahi's mise en scene.
When watching it, note how frequently he employs circular figures and
patterns within shots, scenes, in the blocking, and as a larger narrative
construct. And speaking of Tehran, the city has rarely been more fully
covered than this film; not even ``The Taste of Cherry'' was so extensive.
