1. THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNICATION YEARBOOK - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Environmental Communication Yearbook, a new peer-reviewed
publication, invites submissions that showcase and/or advance our
understanding of the production, reception, contexts, or processes of
human communication regarding environmental issues. Theoretical
expositions, literature reviews, case studies, cultural and mass media
studies, best practices, and essays on emerging issues are welcome as
are both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Manuscripts should
conform to current guidelines established by the American Psychological
Association.
Deadline for submissions to the inaugural 2003 edition is June 1st. Send

2. NAAEE SPRING MONOGRAPH - CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers are now being accepted for NAAEE's spring monograph on the topics
of "assessing the effectiveness of environmental education training for
educators (pre-service, in-service, and non-formal)." Of particular
interest are papers that explore research-based models for the effective
preparation of educators in environmental education as well as research
studies exploring issues related to environmental education preparation.
