1. NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH IN SCIENCE TEACHING ENVIRONMENTAL
EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM - CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
March 23-26, 2003 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Environmental Research Interest Group (ERIG) at NARST is soliciting
submissions to form part of a symposium on 'diverse perspectives' of
environmental education at NARST's 2003 meeting in Philadelphia. This will
be a timely dialogue for NARST as much of contemporary Environmental
Education research seeks to make visible distinctions with/in the terms
environmental education, education for sustainability and education for
sustainable development. Within the content of the submissions, ERIG wishes
to explore a spectrum of environmental education perspectives and to
highlight what is fundamental to their distinctiveness and how they
interrelate to other interpretations of environmental education. They would
also like to investigate alternative formats for presenting their symposium
and welcome suggestions.
Please send a brief abstract by July 18th, outlining your research
perspective and ideas about presentation to Ali Sammel ([log in to unmask]).
If there is adequate interest ERIG may propose more than one symposium.
