The EEE SIG of AERA invites submissions of high quality research
paper and symposium proposals for presentation at the annual meeting.
We are seeking proposals from beginning and experienced researchers
in the areas of environmental education in formal school or informal
education contexts, education for sustainability (especially in
higher education) and related areas. Topics could include policy
studies, research methodology, social justice issues, ecological
issues, international issues, theoretical debates etc. This year, we
are especially interested in paper proposals that review past EEE
research accomplishments and propose specific, practical, needed
research directions in EEE for the next five years. Beginning
researchers are encouraged to submit poster presentation proposals of
their research in progress for consideration.
REVIEW INFORMATION
Paper proposals should thoroughly describe all aspects of the
completed research with particular attention to the information that
will be needed to make judgments about the final paper. Paper
proposals will be externally reviewed. It should be clear to the
reviewers that authors have consulted the paper writing, formatting,
and research quality resources in the May issue of Educational
Researcher and online at the AERA website. Briefly, review criteria
include:
a. research topic (originality, importance, relevance to program theme)

d. frameworks (theoretical, conceptual, methods, knowledge of prior
EEE research)
