I'd like to tell you about GrowthPoint - the Journal of Social and
Therapeutic Horticulture.
Now on its 90th issue, GrowthPoint is a quarterly journal published by
Thrive, the charity formed in 1978 to enable disadvantaged, disabled and
older people to participate fully in the social and economic life of the
community, through gardening.
Social and therapeutic horticulture is used by care and development
professionals to provide programmes of training and employment, therapy and
health. Such programmes are run across the country in schools, hospices,
hospitals, prisons and secure settings, allotments, residential care schemes
and on private land.
