For more information about the awards see:

The Economics Centre of the Learning and Teaching Support
Network (Economics LTSN) is again inviting nominations for
lecturers in economics who have, within the constraints
that all academics find themselves under, demonstrated
excellent commitment, enthusiasm and effectiveness in their
teaching practices.
Winners in each of the three categories of:
* Outstanding Teaching
* Outstanding Electronic Resource
* Student-Nominated
will receive £250 in book tokens and free registration to
the Economics LTSN residential workshop in September where
they will be awarded their prizes.
The Outstanding Teaching Award will be awarded to a
UK-based academic who demonstrates excellence across the
five criteria of:
* Course structure
* Delivery
* Student response
* Student performance
* Peer recognition
Nominations, including self-nominations, that address each
of these criteria should be no longer than 500 words and be
submitted via our online form at:
http://www.economics.ltsn.ac.uk/prizes/form_ot.htm
The Outstanding Electronic Resource award is for UK-based
academics or teams who have developed excellent electronic
teaching support materials, whether they are embedded
within a Virtual Learning Environments, such as Blackboard
or WebCT, or published as a Web page on the Internet or an
Intranet.
Nominations, including self nominations, should be no
longer than 250 words. The judging panel would also require
to have temporary access to any resources that are not
already publicly available. Successful nominations will be
required to provide at least a sample of the resource to be
made publically available if it is not already: Economics
LTSN can provide server space for this, if necessary.
Submissions should be made via our online form at:
http://www.economics.ltsn.ac.uk/prizes/form_er.htm
For the first time the centre is also inviting nominations
from groups of students in the UK who want their academic
teacher to receive recognition for the excellence of their
teaching. Student-Nominated Award Suggestions should be
from a minimum of three students (email addresses should be
provided) and be accompanied by a short nominating
statement no longer than 500 words submitted via the online
form at:
http://www.economics.ltsn.ac.uk/prizes/form_sn.htm
