The Dartington Hall Trust, a registered charity, has been awarded a Heritage
Lottery Fund Grant and is seeking a qualified archivist for a fixed two year
period to oversee, advise and assist in the sorting and cataloguing of its
extensive archive. The archive covers the history of the Dartington Hall
estate and the endeavours of the Trust and its founders, Leonard and Dorothy
Elmhirst, who purchased the estate in 1925. Cataloguing will be undertaken
using the CALM 2000 cataloguing software and the resulting catalogue will be
made available online. The successful candidate will also have the
opportunity of contributing as part of a team toward publicising the
archive. Candidates should have relevant professional qualifications and be
familar with the use of current archival descriptive standards in automated
systems.
