UK NEQAS performance for 8 Dimension instruments shows a
negative bias relative to their all-laboratory trimmed mean (ALTM)
target value, currently averaging -7% (range -3% to -9%), and in
most cases the bias appears to be greater at concentrations below
1.5 mmol/L.
This was previously drawn to the attention of DADE Behring, when
the problem appeared to be worse and placed several users
outside the limits of acceptable performance, but with no definitive
outcome
